Reflections on Trust and Strength

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalm 18:2

He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength. Isaiah 40:29

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the Strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

Surely God is my salvation;
    I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord Himself, is my strength and my defense;
    He has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2

Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. Prov. 30:5

Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the the Lord Jehovah is everlasting Strength. Isaiah 26:4

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10

Sometimes the strength within you is not a big fiery flame for all to see. It is just a tiny spark that whispers ever so softly….”You got this. Keep going.”

When we choose faith instead of fear, peace reigns. When we choose trust instead of control, our hearts are calmed.

God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand His wisdom but we simply have to trust His will.

Thank you God, that we can trust you even though it is hard. Make that real to me and to everyone that reads your promises that have been written down here. Help us to have it deep in our hearts and to truly mean it when we ask you to help us TRUST YOU!
