The 4 Morley families from PA traveled out to Missouri in the same day. We joined up with Uncle Craig’s about halfway through the trip.

Three of the students had class on Wednesday so they traveled separately. So we had a bit more room in the van. They took out the back seat and put a recliner in for me. It was somewhat more comfortable than the seats. Still very confining but very helpful.:)

Many reasons to be thankful this Thanksgiving. Six Morley siblings were able to get together with 36 cousins. We got to spend time with Grandpa and Grandma Morley after most of us not seeing them for at least 2 years. Ability to rent a dining hall at a campground. A lot of good food and fellowship and fun.

Every one arrived on Wednesday evening. So breakfast was prepared at the dining hall. Carrie Lucas was in charge and several of the girl cousins and Uncle Fain helped fix it. Homemade cinnamon rolls, egg and sausage scramble, fruit and orange juice. "IMGP7179_2000x1328.JPG"

Looks like they are excited for Breakfast!

Little Aaron is such a sweetie.

Eagerly awaiting his breakfast.

"IMGP7180_2000x1328.JPG"

My recliner was very useful there at the campground. Lot more comfortable than one of those chairs or benches. 🙂

"IMGP7229_2000x1328.JPG"

Decorating the tables was Candace’s specialty. With lots of help of course.:)

Pausing to watching the young people expend their energy in a game of volleyball while finishing unloading the vans.

The cheerleaders sideline for the soccer game. Rose and Candace kindly helped me out into the sunshine to watch the game for a little while.

The soccer game….

"IMGP7265_2000x1328.JPG"

Don’t you like that action! 🙂

"IMGP7245_2000x1328.JPG"

A far away view of the soccer game.

"IMGP7303_2000x1328.JPG"

Someone had an idea to have an auction with all the proceeds to benefit Grandpa and Grandma. So over two days the auctioneers sold off a lot of different items like homemade goods to quilting pieces to books to odds and ends.:) Uncle Fain and Uncle Gabriel took turns being auctioneer. Altogether they raised $259 which went to helping Grandpa get his car up to snuff.

"IMGP7304_2000x1328.JPG"

"IMGP7305_2000x1328.JPG"

The auctioneers were quite hilarious as you can tell by all the guys faces.

"IMGP7320_2000x1328.JPG"

Grandma reading a book to everyone. It was called “The Wonky Donkey.” It is a very interesting and funny book.

"IMGP7310_2000x1328.JPG"

Grandpa is enjoying the book also!

"index.23jpg.jpg"

"index24.jpg"

More talking….

"IMGP7340_2000x1328.JPG"

More cooking….

"index1.jpg"

And games when it was raining outside.

"index5.jpg"

Candace had the job of making these hats and collars for the youngsters who were going to do some thanksgiving readings and skits. So they decided to try them out first.

"index13.jpg"

Candace had an extra one after dressing everyone up so she put it on me.

"index17.jpg"

Little Kari was much in demand… She is such a cutie.

"IMGP7339_2000x1328.JPG"

Lydia is another very sweet little girl. Always has a smile.:)

"IMGP7335_2000x1328.JPG"

Goofy boy… who was supposed to be washing off tables.

"index4.jpg"

The little girls wanted to learn how to knit so a kind older cousin taught them. I was amazed at how long it took their attention.

More in the next post which will be posted a couple days later…..
