Hymn Reflection– He Will Carry You

There is no problem too big God cannot solve it
There is no mountain too tall He cannot move it
And there is no storm too dark God cannot calm it
There is no sorrow too deep He cannot soothe it

And if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know my brother that He will carry you
And if He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know my sister that He will carry you
He said, “Come unto Me all who are weary, and I will give you rest”

I was encouraged by this song to remember how big my God is. I am in the midst of all those things, problems, mountains, a storm and deep sorrow. And He says “Come unto Me” and I will give you rest. We as humans want to see the answers to our trouble right now. I am suffering severe pain and all I want is answers to why and a treatment to fix it. And the mountain of what the next step will be seems to high. And the sorrow of repeated disappointments and seeing others my age healthy and thriving. And in my spirit I cry to God asking why He has allowed this. And He says “Come unto Me” and I will give you rest. Do I trust Him enough to be humble and patient before Him? Despite the things I am doing the pain is getting worse. His answer so far has been wait. Can you trust Him to carry your burden and let Him give you rest? Let’s strive to do that.
