40 Day Prayer Challenge — Day 25

The village of Gachuurt in Mongolia

Pray for the children selected for the Children’s Heart Project. Pray that God would guide the surgeons’ hands and that the surgeries would be successful. Pray that the children and their families would come to know Jesus as their personal Savior. Pray for the children who are still awaiting heart surgery.

The Children’s Heart Project identifies children with life-threatening heart disease in countries that lack technology and training, and matches them with North American hospitals and surgeons that donate their time and services. Since 1997, Children’s Heart Project has arranged life-saving operations for more than 1,400 children from Bosnia, Kosovo, Honduras, Uganda, Mongolia, and Bolivia.

Samaritan’s Purse produced a DVD called Three Hearts that tells the story of three children from Mongolia that came to America for surgery to repair deadly congenital heart defects. It is an incredibly moving video that we definitely recommend!

Psalm 51:10: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
